Angels in America (2003)
Perhaps this movie should have been named "Angels in New York."
Angels single-handedly kept many business afloat and many people
working in the metropolitan area. Arriving at KAS last January, Angels
was practically the only new feature to come to NYC in 2002. HBO's
screen adaptation of the Pulitzer prize-winning play shot on
our stages and on location for over a year in New York.
Angels was directed by Mike Nichols, and features a talented cast,
including Al Pacino, Meryl Streep, and Emma Thompson.
The two-part hour feature will air in 2003. We will miss them!
The Stepford Wives (2004)
Right on the heels of Angels comes the Stepford wives.
Frank Oz's remake of the 1075 sci-fi thriller promises to
thrill audiences with a stellar cast (including Nicole
Kidman and Joan Cusack) and new special effects.
Much of the crew from Angels is back and will be shooting
through the summer on Stepford Wives.
Carsey/Werner/Mandabach Return to KAS!
After two successful runs at KAS with the both Cosby
shows, C/W/M return to "H" stage with Whoopi Goldberg.
Whoopi will star in the eponymous show set in a
Manhattan Hotel. The ensemble cast will provide
ample laughs. We wish them the best!
KAS Music & Sound
K.A.S. Music and Sound is proud to announce that it recently took
delivery of Digidesigns new Pro-tools HD3 and Sadie's new DSD8
We completed a facelift to our Studio A. The floors have been sanded and finished
with tongue oil, to retain it's reflective free environment.
Pre-production has begun for a K.A.S. production of an up and coming group of
young musicians known as "More Than Me". Universal just completed some
ADR sessions for on of its theme park projects overseas.
Deutsche Grammaphone and Michael Fine have each put some time on
hold to do a project with Placido Domingo in the coming months.
Sesame Street
Having finished their 34th season last year, Sesame Street
returns in September for their 35th year! Over the
summer, an Elmo special will be shot.
